The Acropolis Cup remembers Juraj Halenár, a Slovakian player who died 5 years ago. Juraj participated in the Acropolis Cup in 1997 with Spartak Trnava. In 2005 with FC Artmedia Bratislava he defeated the Scottish Celtic FC in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League scoring a hat-trick.
